Canva is a free graphic design tool that’s easy to use. We’ll use it to help us design our website but you’ll find it very helpful for designing other branded marketing materials for your business. The tutorials will show you how to set up your account and us the program.

Whether you’re starting your first website or a seasoned pro, Squarespace offers powerful features and infinite customizations for everybody.

A Squarespace template is a pre-designed website that can easily be customized. This can save you a lot of time and stress from having to build your own website from scratch.

Our templates are unique because they’re specifically designed for pet businesses and already include features and layouts you’ll likely need.

While there are many templates out there to choose from, our templates are specifically designed for pet professionals. You wouldn’t want to waste time trying to reformat a website for a restaurant or law firm for your business would you?

In addition, Fido Designs exclusively works with pet businesses and is fully immersed in the community within the Pet Care Industry. We’re continuously working on being at different expos and network with schools and other pet professionals to provide quality education on branding and web design as it applies to the Pet Industry.

You sure can! Squarespace offers a built in, simple e-commerce store function for your website. You can add it to any template.

Don’t you worry because all of my step-by-step tutorials are beginner friendly and detailed so you can feel confident customizing your template!

These templates are specially designed for pet professionals who want all of the fancy website pizzazz without the DIY overwhelm and expensive custom designer invoices.

Nope! You will never be required to use any code to build your site. All of the template designs you see are with zero code and use DIY friendly features.

Though, there may be the odd time where we think the template looks better with a small snippet of code, in that case, we will provide the copy + paste code and directions on how to add it.

You are also welcome to add any coded features of your own.

*Please note adding custom code to you website on your own can break the site and may require professional help to fix it . So if you’re not very familiar with code please be careful!

The beauty of our templates and the 6 month Squarespace free trial is that you can work on customizing our template without having to pay for having a second website running at the same time.

Once you’re ready to launch your new website, you can move your domain over to the new website (or just buy a new one), cancel that subscription, and start fresh with your polished new website!

(Many website companies do offer prorated refunds if you paid for the whole year but canceled early. So you definitely don’ have to be locked into that subscription and website if you don’t want to! This varies from website company but I want you to at least know this is an option that exists.)

She recognized the tremendous need for professional web design in the pet industry, but found that oftentimes these small businesses could not afford completely custom services that cost thousands of dollars.

So these templates were created to give pet businesses of all budgets the opportunity to have a professional website without having to break the bank.
